Therapeutic Counseling
My Therapeutic Counseling practice offers individuals a space to deepen their understanding of themselves. Working with mindfulness, embodied inquiry, and somatic perspectives, I make space for individuals to explore salient aspects of their lives. Sessions are aimed at cultivating awareness and understanding, in order to support living a life that feels aligned and meaningful. In creating an intentional space to explore these places within ourselves, whether they are current or historical, we create the very important possibility of actively engaging in the unfolding of our lives. My practice is informed by Western and Eastern psychology, the Hakomi Method, neuroscience, and current research in the field.
Meditation & Mindfulness
I offer simple meditation and mindfulness practices to help individuals find space in their emotional, mental, and physical lives. I support individuals in starting a practice, or deepen into an already existing one. I draw from Buddhist and Yogic meditations, breathing practices and secular mindfulness. In some ways meditation is like being the therapist and client at the same time. Through a meditation practice we can cultivate the capacity to observe our emotional, mental, and physical reactions to life, helping us know ourselves in order to make informed choices. Additionally, there are a vast number of researched benefits to meditation and mindfulness.
I draw from Eastern Psychology, Western psychotherapy, and different inner awareness practices to support clients in aligning with a life that feels nourishing and alive.
Therapeutic Counseling is an engagement with mindfulness, presence, psychotherapy, and inner awareness practices, that offer the individual a supported space to engage in their own healing process.
